Since having my hair coloured regularly (roughly every 3 months) I have taken more time and care into looking after it. I’ve tried a few different products over the past few months and at the moment I’m very happy with my hair care routine and their results…
To start with I always wash my hair with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner. I am currently loving the Herbal Essences bio renew range. They smell INCREDIBLE and leave my hair feeling ridiculously good. This Shampoo/Conditioner combo has 0% parabens, gluten and colourants. Plus it is pH balanced so safe for colour treated hair!
Then once every two weeks I wash my hair with purple shampoo, my favourite is PRO:VOKE touch of silver brightening shampoo to brighten the blonde parts of my hair, I never really believed in purple shampoo until I tried it, you can really notice a difference even after just one wash!
Naturally my hair is a bit of a fizz ball frustration and it just doesn’t sit right so I use heat to style it most days. However every day heat use equals damaged hair, so I always use a heat spray before styling. I tend to pick up a different one each time as they basically all do the same thing but its nice to test and try new products as there are so many options! However at the moment I am using and loving… as it smells so nice! I
Once I have my hair all styled I put a small drop of hair oil in the palm of my hands, rub them together and run my fingers from half way down to the tips to give it some nourishment which leaves it feeling all sleek and shiny, I cannot do my hair without this! I got this Josh Wood one in a beauty box at Christmas from M&S but haven’t seen it in there since. So I’m trying hard to find it for when it runs out!
Even using all those products it can still sometimes feel a little dry so I use a hair mask once a month. I tend to do it when I’m having a house work day at the weekend so I can get away with it being in most of the day without having to go out in public! I slap in all over my hair and make sure it is thickly applied and all the way through, whack it in a bun on top of my head and leave it as long as possible before washing out. It really does work wonders! Here is one I have been using lately
Do you have any holy grail hair products?
