New L’Oréal Product Review

If you follow Lydia Elsie Millen (if you don’t do it now as she is amazing) you will know that as a L’Oréal brand ambassador she is always showing off their new products. So after watching a recent vlog of hers where she mentions the following new make up, I just had to go out and buy some so I can try it out myself!

1. Bonjour Nudista – awakening skin tint – £9.99

Description: This product is described as a breathable formula which evens out your complexion and gives a natural-looking coverage to give you the perfect make-up base. It is infused with apricot oil, green tea extract and anti-oxidant vitamins which will really help to hydrate your skin.

Review: I have to admit that when I first tried this I wasn’t totally convinced, I felt it took a lot of effort to get the formula evenly spread, however after using it every morning for a few weeks, I have definitely got more used to the product and love how it sets a glowing base for my foundation! I would recommend giving it a minute or two to set in properly before applying your foundation as I found it took slightly longer to set than some of my other base products. It also comes in different shades so try the testers before you buy!

Would I buy it again? Yes! I think this is a great everyday product to have if you like a dewy look, especially as the warmer weather is creeping near. I don’t think I would use this for a night out look, but as an everyday product, defiantly!

2. Infallible Total Cover Foundation – £9.99

Description: A Total Cover Foundation for a flawless, full coverage base that lasts up to 24 hours. The zero compromise, camouflage formula covers everything from blemishes, redness and tattoos without the overload, while the matte finish leaves you with an even, shine-free base.30% more pigment allows for more coverage using less product.

Review: I tried this on top of the awakening skin tint as mentioned above and soon realised this was a matte finish foundation, so if you are using the above to get a glowy look then don’t use this foundation and you wont see the benefits from the tint. It is a thick formula so you can see straight away why you would get full coverage from it, it defiantly does what it says as it gives a lovely, even and flawless finish without feeling too caked on!

Would I buy it again? Yes! I think this is a great for a night out but not so much as an everyday product as personally I prefer a slightly lighter more natural, liquid base foundation for day to day make up. I used this for a night out recently and it lasted so well all night!

3. Infaillible 24H Concealer Pomade – £6.99

Description: Full coverage concealer pomade to cover dark circles, blur imperfection and hide blemishes, for up to 24 hours. The highly pigmented creamy formula blends seamlessly, for easy, smooth application, crease resistant finish and all day wear. For targeted colour correction, use the universal peach concealer to neutralise dark circles, hyperpigmentation and dark spots, for an ultra-flawless canvas.

Review: A great product to use when you have some blemishes you want to cover up. It does a really good job and blends in well leaving a good smooth finish!

Would I buy it again? Yes! It worked really well with the infallible foundation for a full coverage look.

4. Back to bronze – Matt Bronzing Powder – £8.99

Description: A soft matte bronzer for a summertime ‘tanned’ look all-year – no sun needed! Matte bronzing formula with no shimmer or glimmer, perfect for your no-makeup makeup look.

Review: A lovely one shade bronzer that really sits well on the skin, giving you a beautiful sun kissed look. I also used this as a base for my eye shadow which worked really well. Easy to blend and lasted well during the day!

Would I buy it again? Yes! Again, I think this is a great everyday product to have in your bag! Its nice and compact, with a small sponge included, however I prefer to use a small brush to apply.

5. Life’s a peach – Blusher – £8.99

Description: Sweet-as-a-peach blusher for a warm flush of colour. This peach scented blush is the perfect shade of bronzy-peach that adds a pop of warmth to any complexion. The pigmented peach powder highlights cheekbones and can be built up to achieve a customisable glow. Flattering on all skin tones.

Review: Like the bronzer I love how this only comes in one shade, it saved me so much time as it normally takes me agesssss to decide what shade I want! It is true to its description and is a lovely warm colour that really complements to bronzer!

Would I buy it again? Yes! I love this with the back to bronze, such a good combo! L’Oréal have smashed it!

6.  Glow Mon Amour – Highlighting drops £9.99

Description: The highly pigmented liquid illuminator drops blend seamlessly, for easy application and a luminous glow.

Review: I LOVE this product! It is so versatile, you can blend a few drops onto your cheekbones to give a lovely glow to finish off your look or mix it in with your foundation to add an all over fresh glow. I have used this everyday since I first got it!

Would I buy it again? YES! I just L O V  E it!!

Overall they were great purchases and I love the finished look! Here are few snaps of the products used all together…

I’m curious to try the highlighting dropx, I’ve been meaning to try some of them to see if I could ever get on with liquid highlighters 😉

Also that bronzer and blush look so damn good. I wonder how many people get away with that one shade of bronzer though? …
